when working with online modules

  


1.  The online modules cannot be started.

 

2.  The online modules cannot be played correctly.
 

3.  The online modules are not displayed correctly.
 

4.  The texts in the online modules have moved.
 

5.  Only parts of the online module are visible.
 

6.  Animations and videos cannot be played.

1. The online modules cannot be started

  

Please note that the following software and hardware requirements must be met:


The following operating systems are supported:

• Windows Vista     (SP2, 32bit)
• Windows 7            (SP1, 32- und 64bit)
• Windows 8 or 8.1

Hint: The online modules cannot be started on the iOS operating system for the iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. In this case, please use the mobile versions of the requested modules if they are available.


The following browsers are supported:

• Internet Explorer    (Versions 7; 8; 9; 10; 11)
• Firefox                    (Versions 30; 31)
• Safari 7.0               (tested and verified on MacOS 10.9.4)
• Chrome 36


The following hardware requirements must be met:

Processor:
Minimum:  1 GHz
Recommended:  1.5 GHz

Main storage:
Minimum:  512 MB
Recommended:  1.0 GB

Screen resolution:
The minimum screen resolution is 1024 x 768 pixel at a color depth of 16 bits.

2. The online modules cannot be played correclty

  

Please check your browser settings on the activation of JavaScripts:


The modules consist largely of JavaScripts. To enable correct play of the modules you must activate the JavaScripts.


Please click on "Tools" on your internet browser / „Internet Options“.

       



Here you select the tab "Privacy". First, make sure that the setting is set to "Medium". Then click on "Advanced".

 

Please put the tick in the advanced privacy settings in the fields of:


• „Override automatic cookie handling“
• „Third-party Cookies" /
Block“ and
• „Always allow session cookies“.

 

Please confirm your input with „OK“.

3. The online modules are not displayed correctly

  

Please check the browser scaling:


The incorrect setting of the scaling can cause that the text is moved. Therefore please choose 100 % as scaling.

The scaling can be modified in two different ways:


1. You can change the scale on the bottom right in the status bar.
2. On view /„Zoom“ / „100 %“



Please check the settings of your screen regarding to:

Screen resolution:

The minimum screen resolution is 1024 x 768 pixel at a color depth of 16 bit.


Fullscreen:

Especially in software simulations with smaller screens it may happen that you need to switch to full screen mode to see the whole content.
In this case, please press "F11 Key" on your Keyboard after displaying the module.

4. The texts in the online module have moved

  

Please check the browser and the respective versions:


The following browsers are supported:

• Internet Explorer    (Versions 6; 7; 8; 9)
• Firefox                    (Versions 3.6; 13; 14)


Please check the browser scaling:


The incorrect setting of the scaling can cause that texts are moved. Therefore please choose 100 % as scaling.

The scaling can be modified in two different ways:


1. You can change the scale on the bottom right in the status bar.
2. On view / „Zoom“ / „100 %“

6. Animations and videos cannot be played

  

Please check the security settings of the browser:


Global security settings of the Adobe Flash Player must be set to "always allow".


Please proceed to the following website:

http://www.macromedia.com/support/documentation/de/flashplayer/help/settings_manager04.html

and set the global security setting to "always allow". Saving the changes is not necessary.

7. There is no Sound playing animations and videos

  

Please check your multimedia hardware:


Multimedia hardware:
16 Bit soundcard and speakers or headphones.
